Last Day of Class - Mike Maez

I recently found out that today will be my last day of class at the Art Institute of Colorado.  My financial aid has come to an end so get to leave school 15 classes short of my degree.  It is a sign of the times when a working adult who has pumped money into the system since the age of 14 does not qualify for more aid during a time of true need.

However, I do believe we create our own reality and I really don't need the degree.  I just set getting my BA as personal goal.  I already have two degrees why do I really need a third.  However it will remain a goal which I will still achieve at some point in the not too distant future.  It just may be at a different school.  I also really needed a break because I'm was getting burnt out on the work I was doing.  So I will use this time to shoot for fun again and really enjoy the type of photography I like to do.

So as a farewell to AIC, I am posting the three images from my Studio class.  A class which I "failed" because work sent me out of town for a training during the last two weeks of the quarter.  The three assignments which were completed and turned in by week 9 are Opposites, Re-creating a Painting, & Cliche.  Chao, AIC.
